This narrative review paper focused on clinical trials and retrospective as well as observational studies examining autologous haematopoietic stem cell transplantation (aHSCT) for the treatment of multiple sclerosis (MS) [1]. In addition, the guidelines from the European Society for Blood and Marrow Transplantation (EBMT) were referred to frequently in the review and are a highly useful resource for European clinicians considering aHSCT for MS patients [2].
